DNACAThe Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness (DNACA) not only brings in fabulous artists to perform and conduct residencies, but also supports 9 to 15 qualified local artists to give workshops in the schools in a variety of arts media, ranging from acrylic painting and watercolor to dance and contemporary guitar each year. Check DNACA's concert schedule at http://www.dnaca.net/ Dance With Debbie offers 5-visit workshops for sixth-eighth graders and 3-visit workshops for fourth-fifth graders. During this time, the students learn the basics of dancing with a partner, etiquette, and beginning level steps for one or two styles of ballroom dance. Dancing offers better health, self-confidence, and a real good time for all students who participate.
